An immersion experience 

Spotlight on the Centre of Light

Through eight films of 8 minutes each, embark on a voyage to every corner of the world, deep into the origins of our civilisations. (Re)discover in 3D eight UNESCO World Heritage sites as you've never seen them before! Through time and across the continents, explore the interactive globe, answering the quiz questions to learn more about world heritage and the need to safeguard it. Also visit a pavilion devoted to intangible heritage to watch the 360° videos presenting various UNESCO-listed traditions.

Day 1 - Afternoon

Shall we stretch our legs?

Round off this first day in style with an 8.5-km hike to visit Paroy, a short distance from Arc-et-Senans! Go on, grab your trainers and get ready for an adventure on this easy loop itinerary that will take you approximately 3 hours.

From the lovely church of Paroy, stroll through the village to see all its wonders. You'll cross sunny meadows and enjoy views over the Loue valley, exploring along the paths between the village and old farms with a single goal in mind: to enjoy a good breath of fresh air!

Day 2 - Morning

Cycling through the Chaux forest

From Arc-et-Senans, head off on a 35-km loop itinerary to explore villages and trails in the Forest of Chaux! This forest is of key importance in the region's history and more specifically in terms of salt extraction. You'll admire cabins and old dwellings of that era, because back in the 12th century, the forest was home to lumberjacks, colliers, blacksmiths and bark cleaners. This pleasant bike ride will challenge your calf muscles and delight nature lovers and history buffs alike!

Reward for your efforts!

Tasting of Jura wines

Valérie will present the gems of Jura wines during a tasting session in this small annexe of the Arbois winegrowers' cooperative of Arc-et-Senans!

Smiling with enthusiasm, she'll tell you all about the winemaking processes behind the 5 or 6 wines presented, and you'll also get to try one of the region's star products, Comté cheese! A pleasant moment during which you'll also have a chance to try a 'vin jaune' (yellow wine) and a Macvin.
