L'Atelier des Savoir-Faire: the place to go for Haut-Jurassien craftsmanship

In Ravilloles, in the heart of the Haut-Jura, the Atelier des Savoir-Faire is a living place dedicated to creation and transmission.
Inside, you'll find a wide range of activities: a museum, temporary exhibitions, a 100% handmade shop, arts and crafts courses, children's workshops, a walking trail... Push open the doors of this unique place and discover, in a different way, the crafts of the Haut-Jura.

An exhibition space to discover and understand: the visit to the museum retraces the history of the Haut-Jura's crafts, with a particular focus on turning, the region's emblem. You can learn about the development of the techniques, tools and trades that have shaped the region's identity as a craftsman. The second part of the tour features a temporary exhibition, renewed every year. Around twenty craftspeople from all over France present their creations around a common theme, offering a contemporary look at the diversity of the arts and crafts.

Woodturning demonstration: there's nothing like seeing the craftsman in action, feeling the material and observing the shape that gradually emerges in the scent of freshly worked wood. It's a simple, authentic experience that appeals to everyone.

Workshops for budding craftspeople: during the school holidays, the Atelier des Savoir-Faire offers creative moments with the "Graines d'artisans" workshops, aimed at children and young people aged 4 to 18. Supervised by our craftspeople, they discover materials, tools and the joy of making things with their own hands.

Courses to discover or perfect a skill: throughout the year, over 80 creative and technical courses are on offer for adults. Over one or more days, they offer the chance to learn or improve a range of craft skills: cabinet-making, basket-making, wood-turning, calligraphy, illustration, mosaics, felting, sewing, leatherwork, stained glass, pottery, stone-cutting, gilding, etc. A great opportunity to learn, experiment and create, simply for the pleasure of it.

A walk between nature and crafts: just a short distance from the museum, the Sentier des Savoir-Faire (Craftsmanship Trail) offers a 3km walk in the heart of nature, dotted with works created by local craftspeople. It's a great way to combine heritage, landscape and creativity.

A 100% Jura shop: the visit ends at the shop, which brings together the very best of local production: wooden objects, decorative items, jewellery, toys, accessories, textiles, tableware... Unique creations, made right here, to give as gifts or to treat yourself.
