Protected for their beautiful scenery, the Pic de l'Aigle summit and the 4 Lakes panoramic viewpoint are both great places to stop for a meditative break.
You'll love the array of autumn colours visible from this viewpoint, as well as the contours of the Jura mountains. Green conifers and multicoloured leaves exalt the hilly landscape and the rolling terrain of the first plateaux towards the Mounts of Jura - which give pride of place to the Mont Blanc, towering above the Jura arc.
NB: The climb is fairly steep, but well worth the effort.Along the forest path, what a surprise it is when you reach the viewpoints of first the 3 Lakes, then the 4 Lakes. The turquoise lakes of Ilay, Narlay, Petit Maclu and Grand Maclu, bordered by reedbeds, suddenly come into view – and you'll never get tired of the panorama and the everlasting memory this outing leaves you with.
