The Maison du Comté visitor centre promises a total immersion, with films, video clips in which the cheesemakers reveal their secrets, and demonstrations of the techniques used in Comté production… all on a poetic voyage between the displays.

Maison de la Haute Seille
Welcome to Château Pécaud, in Arbois. This Jura heritage hotspot invites you to travel back through history of winegrowing, particularly vineyard work, the winegrowers' social and economic history and the production of Jura wines: ploussard, trousseau, chardonnay, vin de paille, macvin and vin jaune.
Musée de la Vigne et du Vin du Jura
Visit this former salt production site, a UNESCO World Heritage feature. You'll go down into the brine extraction wells beneath the majestic arches of its monumental, cathedral-like passageway. Built in the13th century, it is 10 metres high and extends for 165 metres.
Grande Saline de Salins-les-Bains
This architectural masterpiece, which is also listed by UNESCO, houses not one but two museums. The first tells the story of salt, while the second shines a spotlighlt on the genius of its architect, Claude-Nicolas Ledoux. Indeed, the majestic 18th-century building looks more like a palace.
The site invites you to visit the exhibitions and wander aimlessly in the landscaped gardens and kitchen gardens before stopping for a refreshing drink on a café terrace where you'll admire a stunning view of the harmonious semi-circular construction.
