Multi-activity resort

Les Rousses is the main resort of the Jura Mountains. Its "Jura sur Léman" Alpine ski area includes four mountain ranges, two of which are interconnected: Tuffes, Serra, Dôle and Noirmont. In all, there are 32 ski lifts and 50 kilometres of slopes at elevations of between 1,090 metres and, at the top of Mount Dôle, 1,678 metres.

Famous for its safe skiing and powdery slopes between the fir trees, this destination is a favourite among families. Far from the stressful crowds of the larger resorts, these rolling slopes take you exploring spruce woods, valleys and ridges with panoramic views.

One ski in France, the other in Switzerland

The new Jura sur Léman downhill ski area allows you to take full advantage of the slopes and ski lifts of the Tuffes, Serra and Noirmont mountains in France, as well as the Dôle mountain range on the Swiss side.

As an added bonus, you get an incredible view over the Alps and the Lake Geneva basin! Not to mention a few remote slopes through the pines that telemarkers, skiers and snowboarders might fancy trying. Your passport to the joys of skiing and a natural landscape of amazing diversity.

Label of excellence

Les Rousses, the responsible resort

Les Rousses is the first French resort to be awarded the Flocon Vert label

Inspired by the "Blue Flag" label that rewards clean beaches, the Flocon Vert ("Green Snowflake") seal of approval is awarded to mountain holiday destinations that adopt pioneering sustainable development strategies. To date, only 7 resorts have received Flocon Vert certification and Les Rousses is one of them. After all, the resort takes great steps to reduce its ecological impact and to preserve the environment.

Here, waste recycling started a long time ago, carsharing and public transport are well organised, ski lifts run on green energy, and artificial snow production observes reasonable limits. The snow cannons use only harvested rainwater and no synthetic additives are used. Energy consumption, waste sorting and anti-wastage measures are also among the environmental issues for which the resort takes action.

So this winter, ski responsibly, ski at Les Rousses!

Off the skis

An alternative winter experience

In the museums, cheese cellars and restaurants where generous helpings are served, you'll hear all sorts of anecdotes and ancient tales. Boissellerie Museum, pipe and diamond museum, Les Rousses Fort and its world-unique maturing cellars... are all part of your winter holiday in the Resort of Les Rousses!
